Bowie County Schools Balk At President's Speech
President Barack Obama spoke to school children across America today but not all of America heard it live. At least six school districts in Bowie County decided not to air the speech live and instead recorded it. Hooks ISD will make it available in the library while other school superintendents will review the speech and decide on the educational value of it. The six districts include New Boston, Hooks, Maud, Redwater, Simms, and DeKalb.
